He didn’t waffle around about it or make excuses or be too busy. He said, “Work with kids to support their dreams and music education? I’ll be there.” He just showed up. He had a gig that night in Las Vegas, but he came and spent the whole afternoon with the kids. He rapped while they played grooves, showing them what it was to improvise and make music on the spot. he did it for hours. Then he took time to meet every kid, and made them all feel special.
