この投稿をInstagramで見る River’s first passion was music. As a creative, he was generous, unapologetic, and decidedly left-of-center. River was an artist/activist. A passionate environmentalist who fought for animal rights and cared deeply for all who felt marginalized, left out and unheard. In honor of River’s 50th birthday on August 23rd, LaunchLeft will be releasing two Aleka’s Attic songs and begin pre-sale on a 10” vinyl. In keeping with the concept of “famed creatives launching music rebels” the label will also release a digital single from a new artist every 2 weeks leading up to River’s birthday. It all starts Mother’s Day May 10th and you’ll be hearing about the “why and who” in the coming weeks if you follow @launchleft. In the meantime, to kick off this special project I want to know how River influenced YOU! Be sure to use the hashtag #RiverPhoenix50 and tag @launchleft when you share your story.
