ジョン・レノンとジョーイ・ラモーン、PJハーヴェイらの曲がTVドラマ『Gilmore Girls』のサントラに

John Lennonの「Oh My Love」、Joey Ramoneヴァージョンの「What A Wonderful World」、PJ Harveyの「One Line」などが人気テレビドラマ『Gilmore Girls』のサウンドトラックにフィーチャーされる。

９月24日にRhino Recordsから発売予定の『Our Little Corner Of The World: Music From Gilmore Girls』には、Bjorkをはじめ、往年のオルタナロック・ファンのお気に入りElastica、XTC、'70sロックのカルト・ヒーロー、Big Starの曲が並ぶ。また、Yo La Tengo、Pernice Brothers、Shinsといったインディ・ロックのナンバーもいくつか含まれている。

収録された24曲のコレクションには、Carole Kingと娘のLouise Goffinが書き下ろした『Gilmore Girls』の未発売のテーマ曲「Where You Lead I Will Follow」や、Sam Phillipsの新曲、元Grant Lee Buffaloのフロントマンで『Gilmore』にもときどき出演するキャスト・メンバー、Grant-Lee Phillipsの曲なども収録されている。
